For fifteen years Ms. Johal has been practicing law as a criminal defence lawyer. She has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario.
Ms. Johal started her career at a national law firm on Bay Street. She practiced at a smaller firm with a highly regarded senior member of the criminal bar for seven years before opening her own practice. The firm was located adjacent to the courthouse located at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East in Scarborough, Ontario.
During her career, Ms. Johal has successfully defended allegations from mischief to manslaughter. She has represented thousands of clients charged with a wide variety of criminal offences.
Ms. Johal has been a speaker for a variety of functions and audiences, including the Law Society of Ontario, the Destination Continuing Professional Development program, the Criminal Lawyer’s Association and even the popular television show, The Agenda with Steve Paikin.
In addition to representing clients facing criminal charges, Ms. Johal is committed to legal education both as a lecturer at the Trial Advocacy course at Osgoode Hall Law School and an advisor at Ryerson’s Law Practice Program.
